I read a great interview with Andrew (Bunnie) Huang today over on his blog http://www.bunniestudios.com/.
As usual he said some insightful and interesting things. This particular gem struck me as a perfect expression of how I see hacking:
“The hacker spirit is the ultimate expression of human problem solving ability. It’s about the ability to see the world for what it is, and not the constructs and conventions that society puts in place.”
I really admire and respect Bunnie/Andrew for many things, having followed his activities for ten years now, and in common with most (if not all) of my heroes, he is open about his failures as well as his successes. Reading about these inspires me to attempt more ambitious projects, because my lasting feeling is not one of disappointment in the failure, but of admiration for the attempt. So therefore I can try more, fail more, and perhaps succeed more as well, as long as my goals are ambitious but achievable.
Who is bunny/andrew and where can I find information about them?
If you are still looking – then bunny/andrew is Andrew “bunnie” Huang – see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Huang for some more info.
